Montlake consultants come from a range of diversified backgrounds, with students from over 18 majors, including Business, Applied Math, English, Biochemistry, Aerospace Engineering, and Computer Science. Our alumni go on to work for some of the world’s best consulting, finance, and technology firms, and attend top graduate schools. We are looking for motivated applicants with strong analytical & problem-solving abilities, creative thinking, and excellent interpersonal skills. We ask all applicants to submit a Cover Letter, Resume, and Unofficial Transcript. All applications are reviewed after the deadline and candidates receive emails regarding interviews.

Work Experience

Our consultants work on engagements with real clients and companies, helping them to solve challenging issues. Over the course of their time at Montlake, consultants have the opportunity to work across a variety of businesses and industries, with clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500s, such as Costco, Starbucks, and Microsoft. Many of our consultants talk about their work at Montlake during internship and full-time interviews, crediting the MCG engagement experience as a key differentiator.

Professional Network

We are a small and close-knit organization, and many of our consultants develop lifelong friendships that continue outside of college. New members bond with the club through our quarterly social events, all-club trainings, and Partner groups. Consultants additionally have access to an exceptional alumni group made up of top tier consulting, finance, and industry professionals, as well as a tailored one-on-one mentoring program. Combined, these factors provide the career-building connections necessary for long term success.

Personal Growth

We are committed to supporting our members through continuous training and development. Annually, we bring in professionals from top consulting firms such as Bain, Deloitte, and Accenture Strategy to provide training and networking opportunities. Members who desire further leadership experience are able to manage engagements, as well as apply to join our Partner team. Throughout their time at Montlake, members become more collaborative team members, effective communicators, and strong leaders.

The MCG Experience

MCG is structured to offer all analysts relevant experience while working on real consulting engagements. Current members will be rotated onto projects throughout the year based on their skill sets. MCG will provide:

• Exposure to multiple industries and functions

Training

Candidates invited to join MCG are required to attend our training sessions following acceptances. New members will start getting real-world client experience early as we work through providing new consultants with the opportunity to do client work as soon as the following spring quarter.
